Woodyfest 2019: Annie Guthrie (Featuring Arlo & Cathy)

Self-described “folk-punk” singer-song­writer [Sidenote: This is the four­teenth post in our cov­er­age of the twenty-sec­ond annual Woody Guthrie Folk Festival. We’ll be alter­nat­ing our report­ing with essays and photo gal­leries from the from the six­teenth fes­ti­val in 2013 and the sev­en­teenth fes­ti­val in 2014, so check in often for a mix of old and new Woodyfest good­ness.] Annie Guthrie per­formed a set on the Crystal Theatre stage on fes­ti­val Friday.

Guthrie is the mid­dle daugh­ter of Arlo Guthrie and the grand­daugh­ter of Woody Guthrie. She was joined by Arlo and also her sis­ter Cathy Guthrie. Cathy is one-half of the folk duo Folk Uke, which also per­formed at the fes­ti­val in 2019.

2019 marked Annie Guthrie’s ninth year to per­form at Woodyfest.
