Travis Linville at Music4Moore

The Show

Chick­asha native Travis Linville was 1 of many Oklahoma artists per­form­ing at the Music4Moore fundraiser this past May, as we’ve already reported. The 35-year-old singer-song­writer and gui­tar picker shared that honor with fel­low Okies JD McPherson, Parker Millsap, and The Queen of Rock ’n’ Roll, Wanda Jackson. Appearing on the east stage, Linville was the evening’s 2^nd performer.

Growing up in a musi­cal fam­ily, Linville mas­tered impro­vi­sa­tional gui­tar styles at an early age. He moved to Norman in 1996 to study art and music, but spent most of his time on the road play­ing dance­halls and dives. He has played with Willie Nelson, Travis Linville & the Burtschi Brothers, and Texas singer-song­writer Hayes Carll.
